SEND ME TO FRENCH LAND!!!!!

BONJOUR!!!!
Hey everyone so glad I get to talk to you again and hear about all the amazing things you are doing. I hope everyone had a good week and that it was filled with joyous moments. My week was pretty good, very different as well, being as I spent a couple days in Quebec! But we will get to that later. So without further delay let us jump right on into this thing!!!
Monday was a chill day last week, did some fishing but didn't catch anything which was kind of a bummer. After that I got a haircut to keep looking fresh and then we just took a nap and then played some ball at the church. ✄
Tuesday we had Elder Hunter with us on exchanges. He is from England so he has that really funny, dry British humor. It was good to be with him and to be able to work with him. We did some service for a lady by helping her clear up some branches that were in her yard. After that we went to a lesson for one of the people we are teaching. That went pretty well, Elder Hunter said he really enjoyed it. Then we just went and visited some people here in Sudbury. Overall it was a really good day.
Wednesday we had to drive to North Bay in the morning because we had interviews with the Mission President. That went really well. It was good to be able to talk to him and joke around with him a little bit. After interviews we had to drive up to New Liskeard and exchange with the Val-d'Or elders. So we met up with them and then I was on my way to French land!!! It was pretty weird to start off with, when we crossed over the border all the signs only had French on them so I didn't know what was going on but Elder Bichon did a great job of explaining things to me.
Thursday is when the real magic started to happen! We went out into the streets and tried to talk to people. So I only know how to say two basic phrases in French so I knew I wasn't getting far with anyone. Pretty much I would say my thing and then they would start talking back to me and I would have to say, "sorry dude I only speak English man" 🤣 There were a lot of people there however that could speak and understand English fairly well. A couple of weird moments that happened though was first, when I shook a guy’s hand he complimented me by saying I have lumberjack hands. 👐So that was pretty sweet. Then we were just walking along and a lady came up to me and said "You look like a very pretty boy." Kind of strange but I will take the compliment. 😁 We also went out to a Native Reserve to drop by a couple of people and we saw the CUTEST little dog in the whole world out there!!! I wanted to take him home so bad, it freaking tore my heart in two when I had to just walk away. 🐕 Then we came back and visited a couple of people until the night was over.
On Friday we had District Meeting in the morning so I Skyped in from Quebec. It was a really good meeting. We talked about being better followers of Christ. After that we made the drive to exchange back with the other elders and then made the drive back to our areas. When we got back we had enough time to grab something to eat and then make it to sports night. That is always a good time, I love being able to play sports with everyone here. 🏀⛹
Saturday was just a normal day, did a lot of walking around and talking to people as well as dropping by and visiting a couple of people to see how they were doing.
Sunday was good, always great to be able to see and talk to the people here. One weird thing was that a homeless guy came walking in drunk with his dog yelling at everyone. So we had to politely escort him out and then lock the doors so he couldn't get back in. 🚪 Another funny thing is that my entire mission people have always told me that I look like a young Thomas S. Monson and there was another person that told me that. I need to keep a tally of how many people are going to say that to me. 😊
Well that's all I got for this week. Hope everyone has a good rest of their week! Love and miss you all!!
