SEND ME TO FRENCH LAND!!!!!

BONJOUR!!!!
Hey everyone so glad I get to talk to you again and hear about all the amazing things you are doing. I hope everyone had a good week and that it was filled with joyous moments. My week was pretty good, very different as well, being as I spent a couple days in Quebec! But we will get to that later. So without further delay let us jump right on into this thing!!!
Monday was a chill day last week, did some fishing but didn't catch anything which was kind of a bummer. After that I got a haircut to keep looking fresh and then we just took a nap and then played some ball at the church. ✄
Tuesday we had Elder Hunter with us on exchanges. He is from England so he has that really funny, dry British humor. It was good to be with him and to be able to work with him. We did some service for a lady by helping her clear up some branches that were in her yard. After that we went to a lesson for one of the people we are teaching. That went pretty well, Elder Hunter said he really enjoyed it. Then we just went and visited some people here in Sudbury. Overall it was a really good day.
Wednesday we had to drive to North Bay in the morning because we had interviews with the Mission President. That went really well. It was good to be able to talk to him and joke around with him a little bit. After interviews we had to drive up to New Liskeard and exchange with the Val-d'Or elders. So we met up with them and then I was on my way to French land!!! It was pretty weird to start off with, when we crossed over the border all the signs only had French on them so I didn't know what was going on but Elder Bichon did a great job of explaining things to me.
Thursday is when the real magic started to happen! We went out into the streets and tried to talk to people. So I only know how to say two basic phrases in French so I knew I wasn't getting far with anyone. Pretty much I would say my thing and then they would start talking back to me and I would have to say, "sorry dude I only speak English man" 🤣 There were a lot of people there however that could speak and understand English fairly well. A couple of weird moments that happened though was first, when I shook a guy’s hand he complimented me by saying I have lumberjack hands. 👐So that was pretty sweet. Then we were just walking along and a lady came up to me and said "You look like a very pretty boy." Kind of strange but I will take the compliment. 😁 We also went out to a Native Reserve to drop by a couple of people and we saw the CUTEST little dog in the whole world out there!!! I wanted to take him home so bad, it freaking tore my heart in two when I had to just walk away. 🐕 Then we came back and visited a couple of people until the night was over.
On Friday we had District Meeting in the morning so I Skyped in from Quebec. It was a really good meeting. We talked about being better followers of Christ. After that we made the drive to exchange back with the other elders and then made the drive back to our areas. When we got back we had enough time to grab something to eat and then make it to sports night. That is always a good time, I love being able to play sports with everyone here. 🏀⛹
Saturday was just a normal day, did a lot of walking around and talking to people as well as dropping by and visiting a couple of people to see how they were doing.
Sunday was good, always great to be able to see and talk to the people here. One weird thing was that a homeless guy came walking in drunk with his dog yelling at everyone. So we had to politely escort him out and then lock the doors so he couldn't get back in. 🚪 Another funny thing is that my entire mission people have always told me that I look like a young Thomas S. Monson and there was another person that told me that. I need to keep a tally of how many people are going to say that to me. 😊
Well that's all I got for this week. Hope everyone has a good rest of their week! Love and miss you all!!

CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES!!!!!

Hey everyone, hope your week has been going well and it was full of happiness and joy. My week was pretty good, nothing too crazy exciting but a good week overall.

One cool thing that has happened is as of today...I am on my 100 DAY countdown!! Crazy to think that I have been out here for almost 21 months already. I have really enjoyed the experiences and all of the people that I have met. Looking forward to the next 3 months!!

Sooooo pretty much biggest thing that happened this week was that we had Zone Conference on Thursday. So since we had that on Thursday we had to travel down to Barrie to spend the night on Wednesday. And you know who is in Barrie...ELDER HAPUKU!!!! That freaking New Zealand man!!! It was amazing to be able to see him again and be able to talk with him a bit. We were making plans to hang out with each other when we get home, so I might go to New Zealand. 😉

Thursday we had Zone Conference and that was pretty good. Elder Mathewson and I had to do an instruction at the beginning. It was funny, we talking about the principle of unity but made it like an episode of Full House. Everyone seemed to enjoy it so maybe my acting career is about to take off!!😂😂 I always love being able to see all the missionaries that come to Zone Conference and being able to catch up with them. After that we had some cheeky Nandos for dinner and then drove the rest of the way home. It is about a four hour drive back home so we didn't get back till 10:30.

Another pretty cool thing that happened was that a member here in Sudbury made me a little gift. It is a jar that has a bunch of red, white and blue origami stars in it. All the stars represent how many days I have left on my mission. It looks super dope and I am very appreciative for the effort they put in. ✩✩✩

Well that's all I got this week! Hope everyone has a good rest of their week!!

Love and miss you all!!!

YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND!!!!

HEEEEEEYYYYOOOOOO!!!!!
Hey everyone, how was your week? I hope it was good and that you were able to get a lot accomplished. My week was pretty good, nothing too crazy or exciting happened but it wasn't a terrible week so I should be grateful for that. But anyways without further delay, let us jump right on into this thang!!!
So P-Day was on Tuesday last week because of Canada day, so we went to Science North and checked all that out. I have been to Science North before but none of the other guys have, guess that means I have been here a little while 😂
It was cool to see all the stuff again. I went on the gyro again and I got it spinning even faster this time!!! The whole thing was moving around because of the momentum. After that we went and had dinner with some of the members and then played with their little golden retriever puppies. They were only 4 weeks old!!! So freaking adorable and cute and just ughhhh!! I would adopt one if I could. 🐕🐕
The rest of the week was just a run of the mill kind of week. Elder Mathewson got his cast off on Monday but his ankle still bothers him a lot so we try to take it easy and not overdo it. We were able to meet with a couple of people and talk to them for a bit and try to help them overcome some of the problems that they have. We had District Meeting again on Friday. That was pretty good. We talked about how we can be better at following the example of Jesus Christ and personalizing and applying his gospel into our lives.
Sunday was good. I actually spoke in church on Sunday about covenants. I learned a lot as I was studying about the topic and it gave me some new insights on things. I always love being able to talk to everyone that comes to church. Everyone is just so different and unique and has a story to tell. Honestly one of the greatest joys of my mission is being able to get to know the members of the congregation in the area I am serving.
And that brings us to today. I think we are going to go fishing today so I am pretty pumped for that. And I am about due for a haircut so I might do that as well. 🎣
Well that is all I got for this week. Hope everyone has a great rest of their week!
Love and miss you all!!!!

DISTRICT MEETING WEEK

Hey Everyone, I don't have a lot of time today but I will try to sum up this week for you pretty quick.

So this week was pretty good. We didn't really do a whole lot because Elder Mathewson actually hurt his ankle so that's been causing him a lot of pain. So we were just trying to take it easy and just drop by a couple of people and just visit them and stuff like that. I guess the big highlight that happened this week was that we had a District meeting, which was everybody getting together over in New Liskeard. It is about 3 hours away from here but it was a good meeting. I don't know if I've mentioned this or not but I'm the District Leader now so I conduct the meetings. We talked about how we can feel the spirit more and how to be better as missionaries. The people that are in my district are really nice and they're super awesome so I'm looking forward to the rest of the time that I have with them.

Today we're going to go fishing again! I'm hoping that today that I can catch a pike or a pickerel because that would be pretty sweet. I am making sure that I catch the biggest fish because I'm the master Fisher and I can do everything. 😂

Elder Mathewson’s ankle had been hurting him all week. So on Monday we went to the hospital and had an x-ray and we were there for like 4 or 5 hours. He just has this little fracture in his ankle so they put a cast on it and now he's on crutches so I'm sure this week will be pretty adventurous. 🏥

That is pretty much all that happened this past week.
