So glad that I get to talk
to all of you again this week! I hope you all had a good week and that you were
able to get a lot done. My week was pretty good, just continuing to live the
busy big city life. But let's just jump right on into this thing!
Monday was pretty fun. We
went and played some sports with all the other missionaries. Played some kill
ball and ya boi ended up being victorious! I freaking love Kill Ball so much,
it's just so intense and crazy. Kind of like me. 😁
Tuesday was a pretty good
day. We decided that we were going to walk to this place called Kensington
Market. It was about a two hour walk to get there so a little bit of a trip but
I really enjoyed it because I got to see more of the city. Kensington Market
was pretty cool too. It is a place that just has a bunch of different shops
that you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. After that we had dinner at
the Bishop's place. The meal was delicious and then we had to hustle over to
the church because we were teaching English that night which is always a blast!
Wednesday was a pretty,
well I guess "normal" day. (As normal as you can get here in Toronto)
We had lunch with a member and she made us tacos. Super awesome, because it's
been a bit since the last time I had a taco. 🌮 After that we walked around
Downtown until we had an appointment with a guy at our chapel. We met with him
and he is super awesome, says he always feels good when he is with us or in the
church building. He wants to be baptized in the future which is sick! After
that we had some dinner and walked around some more.
Thursday was good. We had
District Meeting in the morning. That was good and then after that we went back
to our apartment and did some studies as well as weekly planning. We had dinner
with a member that night, which was pretty sweet. He is just like a young
bachelor so we had some frozen pizza and ice cream, kind of reminded me of home.
😂 After that we went over to the church for a Bible Study that night.
Friday was crazy. In the
morning we volunteered at Pals Pantry doing the usual stuff like washing dishes
and giving people food. But after that they were having a memorial for someone
who had passed on and they asked us to help set up and run the thing. So we
said sure we could help. We ended up making coffee and tea for like 100 people
and having to wash all the dishes and do clean up afterwards. Kind of felt like
a waiter that day but it was good and the people really appreciated it. After
that we came back home and had some dinner. Then we did some studies for the
rest of the night.
Saturday was a good day as
well. We had English Class in the morning and it was the biggest one yet. There
were around 40 people there! Absolutely crazy but tons of fun. After that we
caught a ride with some other missionaries over to the Stake Center and had
some lunch with them. Then we traveled over to a members place because they
wanted us to bless their home. It was also a party for their daughter who was
about to leave to go on her mission to Peru. There was a ton of food there!!!!
It was absolutely crazy the amount of food but it was all super delicious!
After that we came back home and did our studies for the evening.
Sunday we had church in
the morning and once again so many people were there! We filled up every seat
in the chapel that day, it was absolutely insane. After church we came back and
did some studies and spent the rest of the night walking around town talking to
people.
Well that's all I got for
this week! Hope you all have a good rest of your week with lots of fun and
excitement involved in it!
Love and Miss you all!!!
