ROPING ROOSTERS!!!!!!

HOWDY HOWDY EVERYONE!!!!

So glad I get to talk to you again and hear all of the great and interesting things that you are up to!!

This past week was pretty good. A few interesting things happened so let us just jump right into it!!

On Monday last week my companion and I thought of a crazy idea. We wanted to have a little fun and wanted to LASSO SOME CHICKENS!!! We got some paracord and made little lassos out of them and went to a member’s farm and asked if we could rope their chickens. Surprisingly they said yes and said to make sure that we took videos doing it. So you best believe that we got some awesome videos!! It was so much fun. I had a massive headache at the end of the day because I was laughing so hard!!! If any of you have the chance to rope chickens I would highly recommend it. It was honestly one of the funnest times I have had in my entire life!

On Tuesday we went to a member’s home and we cut down a bunch of trees for them so they could have some wood to heat their house. We were out there for a long time. We filled an entire trailer with cut up logs. You already know that your boy is the modern day Paul Bunyan, so I was out there just yelling timber and slicing and dicing. It was a good time. I always enjoy giving service to the members here because they do so much for me.

Thursday I went on exchanges with the Barrie elders so I was in Barrie for the day. It was pretty fun. We went around on bikes and were talking to everyone that passed by us. I will tell you what though, it has been a while since I have ridden a bike and my rear end was super sore after we did like 3 hours of riding bikes. It was a good time because in Owen Sound we don't ride bikes because there aren’t many places we can ride. All in all it was a good time and I am glad that I got to experience it.

Other than that I think that is all I got for this week. I love you all so much and wish the best for you in the future!!

YOU'LL NEVER GET ME LUCKY CHARMS!!

TOP OF THE MORNING TO YA!!!

Hello everyone, good to talk to you again!!

Not a whole lot happened this week. Kind of just a chill week doing regular missionary things.

One thing that happened though is that one of our investigators is doing super well!! She asked if we could teach her two lessons in the same day because she wants to hurry up and get baptized!! She is so nice and is really interested in all the things that we have been teaching her. I am super excited for her and can't wait to see her get baptized. I know that it will bless her life immensely and she will find peace and be surrounded by people who will love her for who she is.

Also, we had this Green dance at the church on St. Patrick's Day and it was super fun. Lots of people were there and everyone had a really fun time. There was dancing and food and a lot of different activities and a couple of our investigators showed up to the dance and had a really great time!! Hopefully it gets them even more interested in the gospel and makes them want to be a part of something amazing.

Other than that nothing else happened. We went to the hospital a couple of times to visit people and had some meetings but that was about it.

Anyways I love you all and wish the best for you!!

BAPTISM!!!!!

HEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYY!!!!!
This week has been super awesome!!!! So let’s get right down to it!!
First of all we had an investigator get baptized!! His name is Simon Buffalo Bulltail and he is a super awesome kid. He was so excited to get baptized and we were excited for him as well. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and we had an investigator come to it and she says she is excited to get baptized now and wants to learn even more!!! I am so excited to continue teaching her to help her progress towards her goal. I also gave Simon one of my ties as a gift and he said he loves it and it will always be his favorite tie. I am so proud of him and the steps that he is taking in his life.
Also this week we went and got some cowboy hats!!! Elder Roundy and I decided that we were going to be the outlaws of Owen Sound and just cause havoc in the city!!!! Not really we just decided that we were going to get some hats because we thought it we would look cool. And let me tell you something, I think I was born to be a cowboy because I look SUPER SPICY IN THIS HAT!!!! So next time you are watching the PBR you better keep your eyes peeled for me because ya boy is about to take the world by storm!!
Transfers were yesterday and drum roll please!!! I am staying in Owen Sound for another one!! They are keeping me here a little longer because Elder Roundy has only been here for 3 weeks and needs to adjust to the area a little more. I am excited to be here and continue the work here in Owen Sound and be around with all of these amazing people.
That's all I got for this week I love you all and can't wait to hear from all of you.

CRAZINESS!!!!!

HELLLLLOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Good to talk to all of you again! I got a lot to talk about this week so let us just jump right into it!
First, on Monday last week we were playing volleyball with some other missionaries and one of them said that his shoulder was hurting him pretty bad. I told him we would go get a drink and check the computers so he could rest a bit. We went and did that and he was saying his shoulder really hurt and he was getting dizzy. He stood up and tried to stretch his arm and he PASSED OUT!!! I mean out cold!! Luckily I caught him before he hit the floor so he didn't smack his head on the ground. Pretty much what happened is that he had dislocated his shoulder somehow playing volleyball and when he tried to stretch it the pain was too much and caused him to pass out. I had to take him to the Emergency Room so they could put it back into place. I was there with him for about 5 hours for the entire thing but everything got taken care of and now he is just wearing a sling.
Then on Wednesday we came back from an appointment and walked into our apartment and it smelt like someone just got done having a birthday. But in reality we forgot that we left shoe polish on top of the furnace and it MELTED ONTO THE FURNACE!!! So we were taking it off of the furnace and one of the containers broke and dumped this shoe polish all down the inside of the furnace. I tried to clean it up the best I could and went on with the rest of our day. That night at around 11:30 the smoke alarms started going off!! I got up to go look and saw the furnace just billowing smoke and filling the apartment with it. So I started opening windows to get the smoke out, but there was also a snow storm that night so when I opened them snow and cold air just came blasting in through the windows. Luckily nothing caught on fire or did any damage. I guess when the furnace kicked on that night it burned up the rest of the wax that was in it. But the craziest thing is that my companion SLEPT THROUGH THE WHOLE THING!!!!! I asked him about it the next morning and he said he didn’t even hear the alarms go off. So he is a pretty heavy sleeper.
Then finally on Sunday my companion woke up in the morning and his eye was hurting him and it was all red and watering like crazy. We went to church and one of the members was worried about him so told him to call the Tele-nurse and ask what he should do. He called the nurse and she told him he needed to go to the Emergency Room so they could check his eye for him. Once again it was off to the Emergency Room with someone else so they could get looked at. The doctor told him nothing seemed out of the ordinary but that he might have glaucoma and to go see an optometrist so they could get a better look. We will have to go and do that this week to make sure that everything is going to be okay with him. I don't know what it is but I just can't stay get away from doing EMS things. Maybe it is God telling me that this is what I need to do for a career.
Anyways that is all I got for this week. I love you all so much and can't wait to hear from you. Have a good rest of your week!!!
